Cancellations / Refunds

If you would like to cancel your account, please send an e-mail to info@urbanhomestead.org one week before your last box. We do not give refunds for pre-paid boxes or boxes that are scheduled but not picked up. Also you must use up all the funds in your cash account with your last box as we do not refund cash accounts.


Due to the nature of farming, and because the weekly produce list is a forecast, sometimes we are wrong. In the case that we do not have an item due to weather or another reason, we reserve the right to substitute in another produce item of our choice. We will not credit the original item.

Box Holds

Log in to your account and you will see a grey “Hold” button. Click the button before Monday 12 noon (Wednesday pickup) or Tuesday 12 noon (Thursday pickup) the week of your delivery. If you wish to put your box on hold for multiple weeks, select the date range. 


I agree that if I choose to pay by credit card and pay per-delivery, my card will be charged Monday or Tuesday before each delivery. If I choose to pre-pay for 4 or 13 boxes, my card will be billed at the beginning of that term, before I receive my first box. If I choose to pay by check, my deliveries will not begin until my check is received.

If I cancel my membership by sending an email to info@urbanhomestead.org, I will not receive a refund for the boxes I have pre-paid for. I can put my account on hold at any time and skip deliveries, but I need to do this one week before that delivery date. If I am paying per-box, I can end my deliveries at any time, but I must give a one week notice via email to cancel.

I understand that I am responsible for picking up my CSA box on the designated day and time period. If I cannot pick up my box, I will make arrangements for someone else to do so. There are no refunds for boxes that are not picked up. I am responsible for making arrangements in advance if I want to place my box pickup on hold.

I hereby acknowledge and agree that Urban Homestead Inc., Justin Dervaes, Dervaes family members, produce and other suppliers, and anyone else associated with the Farm Box assume NO LIABILITY or responsibility for accidents, injuries, allergies while on premises or sickness/illness otherwise caused by purchase and consumption of the Farm Box contents.

Privacy Policy

Urban Homestead Inc. CSA will never sell or share your information with a third party. However we will use the information you provide to communicate with you electronically and through postal mail about the CSA and Urban Homestead Inc. news.
